At Lindsey Wherrett Pottery, we’re passionate about nurturing a meaningful connection to the craft of pottery - not just through classes, but by opening up the rhythm of the working studio to those who want to go further.

Our internship program is designed for people with a genuine interest in ceramics as a career or serious hobby who are ready to engage more rigorously with the craft. It's a way for us to share our space, knowledge, and practice with a small number of committed individuals, while also creating a support system to improve workflow within the pottery.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You don’t need to be an expert, but you should have a foundation in pottery, a strong interest in progressing your skills, and a willingness to contribute. You might be:

• Someone who’s completed a few classes and is hungry for more

• An aspiring ceramicist looking for hands-on learning in a real studio

• A returning creative reawakening a love for clay

What matters most is your motivation, reliability, and readiness to be part of our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Interns play an important role in keeping the studio flowing smoothly. Your responsibilities may include:

• Checking student work between classes (drying, covering/uncovering)

• Helping set up and clean up before and after classes

• Preparing glaze materials and reclaiming clay

• Assisting with kiln loading and unloading (after training)

• Supporting Lindsey in her workflow

• General cleaning

Tasks are tailored to your comfort level and the studio’s needs. You’ll never be asked to do something you haven’t been shown how to do.
