About Us
Lindsey Wherrett Ceramics
is built on a foundation
of traditional craftsmanship and
contemporary design training.
Founded by Lindsey Wherrett in 2013, Lindsey Wherrett Ceramics creates enduring pieces that quietly enrich architectural spaces, bringing a sense of tactile beauty to daily rituals.
All work is made by hand using traditional pottery techniques, including wheel throwing and moulding with jigger and jolly machines. Lindsey develops all glazes in-house, working with a refined palette of colours and textures inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Combined with firings in both electric and gas kilns, this process allows for subtle variation and individuality in every piece.
Lindsey works alongside studio manager Jonathan, who oversees operations and logistics, supporting the continued growth of the studio as a considered and ethical Tasmanian brand.
The studio is based in the picturesque Huon Valley, just 30 minutes from Hobart, Tasmania, where all work is produced.
“My designs are brought to life through the honesty and integrity of materials and process. I aim to create something extraordinary from the ordinary.”
